Alexander Armstrong, the brilliant comedian, Actor and a much loved presenter of the hit game show Pointless, will be live on stage in conversation with the highly acclaimed legendary composer, music arranger John Altman. They will be talking about Johns music career which spans over 60 years. John has lots of amusing anecdotes to tell us like teaching Michael Caine how to sing. He has won numerous awards over the years including an Emmy for his musical score on RK281 and a BAFTA for Hear My Song, a Golden Globe for Sheltering Sky and Leon. As a musical arranger and composer has always been in high demand for film scores and has been involved with over 50 movies and many of our hit TV shows, creating 4000 TV commercials. Amongst his iconic film scores he arranged and conducted the beautiful period music for Titanic and Shall We Dance. At the bequest of Hans Zimmer another music Legend and one of Johns close friends worked together on Golden Eye and No Time to Die. He Is most noted for his long running collaboration with the hilarious comedy films of Monty Python especially The Life of Brian where he is credited on the song (Always Look On the Bright Side of life) He has worked with many pop and rock idols like Quinsy Jones, David Bowie, Prince, Amy Whinehouse George Michael to name just a few.. With Alexander’s background as a comedian singer, presenter he is the perfect host to draw out the best anecdotes and humour and behind the scenes secretsof Johns decades at the top of the music industry.
